Reuse Stencils
Item: Vintage Stencil Assortment
Seller: BinspiredVintage

I’ve been trying a re-purpose, re-use, recycle exercise lately. It’s pretty simple and easy to do:
Watching my garbage.Since moving into my new condo, it’s been very important to me to take note of how many times I have to visit the hallway garbage shoot. At first, I was dumping frequently – about once every 3-4 days. One kitchen-sized bag of garbage is a lot for one person. How on earth was a wasting this much?
When I saw this item on Etsy, I decided I wanted to start to do something really simple – just keeping note of what I was throwing away and why.
I love this these vintage stencil sheets. This item is for sale by Etsy seller BInspiredVintage and includes four sheets, each measuring 8 inches by 10 inches.
I think this is an awesome item to have on Etsy. Here’s the thing, to be totally honest I would throw this away without a second thought. This is not a good mindset to have!! This is not only a useful item, but it’s a great reminder for me.

I’m happy to say I have been focusing on throwing out one bag of garbage each week and it’s been going great! Some tips I’ve found work well:
- I buy glass bottles of carbonated water from my local Whole Foods. If I drink one bottle, I try to use it at least 5 more times – filling it with just plain water and taking it to work, the gym, etc.
- I have been drastically cutting down my paper towel use. Amazing how much it makes a difference in the garbage pileup. Plus, between the new pack of dishtowels and my old ones, I have quite a few colorful choices for cleanups!
- I have been focusing a lot on making sure I set aside any item that can be recycled. Paper is taking up the most room in my recycling container – I had no idea how much paper I just threw away in the garbage!
Any tips you guys have for being more eco-concious?
- Jackie

Thanks so much for featuring my stencils. Becoming a vintage seller on etsy has also helped me to take a different perspective on vintage things! I’m so glad to have been able to share that with you!
