Etsy Item of the Day reader Karyn Elder sent a link to Etsy shop BookOfArt my way along with this message:“I found this Etsy shop last week and I can’t stop thinking about it.  I know why they inspire me – I love to read, and I can’t imagine anything I would rather (proudly!) display on a book shelf. The amount of time and patience it must take to make these pieces boggles my mind! I also really admire the person who commissioned the “read” piece as they are obviously trying to inspire people to pick up a good book, which seems to becoming a lost art.”

What an awesome shop!

This item in Etsy’s BookOfArt shop is fittingly titled “A World Without Trees”.  The cover is a deep teal color, and every page has been folded to display the recycle symbol which is three arrows in a triangle.

Isn’t that cool?

The item is selling for $60.00.  The seller (BookOfArt) tells buyers to check back often as they are working on new designs. Buyers should keep in mind that each book takes some time, and this shop mostly creates custom orders.

Here’s a bit of a downer…  The Etsy shop announcement says that as of 11/10/09, this shop is not accepting any additional orders for the 2009 holiday season.  However - things may change!  So if you love this shop, be sure to check back as the seller will update buyers.
