Loving these fun cocktail party invites from Etsy seller MadeByBree! What a great excuse to have some friends over for a fun night – just to use these invites.

I first met this Etsy seller via my Etsy Item of the Day shop submission page.

Meet Bree Craft, the seller behind MadeByBree on Etsy.com. Bree is a Texas native, wife, mother, artist, designer and lover of all things vintage and green.

When’s she’s not working on new items for her Etsy.com shop, Bree says you can find her gardening.

“I can’t get enough of it! I just LOVE plants! It’s funny, because I never had an interest in gardening – even though I watched my mother and grandmother do it for years as a child. It wasn’t until I was pregnant with my first baby (7 years ago), that I started collecting and caring for plants,” she said.  ”Now I have so many that I started an Etsy shop for them.”

I like to ask Etsy sellers where they like to shop on Etsy.com. Oftentimes, this is where I learn about killer shops on the site. I mean, who better to ask for awesome shop recommendations than sellers themselves!?

Bree told me about Little Hip Squeaks. “The prints and colors of their baby blankets are so awesome! I can’t get enough of them! I already have a few things in mind to buy for my SIL; once we find out if they should be pink or blue,” she said.

I also ask Etsy sellers to share some advice about things they have learned along the way while selling on Etsy.com. Bree said she’s learned patience and marketing.

“Sometime it takes a while to get some sales, but it really is all about talking to people. Getting your name out there! Social networking is mostly what I have done…. because it’s free!” she said. “I still should be a better blogger. I always forget about my poor blog!”

So what’s next for MadeByBree on Etsy.com?

“Just MORE! More of everything. I have tons of stuff that I have been wanting to add, but never have enough time! Coming soon: Timeline Covers (for FB), matching registry cards for all Baby and Wedding invitations, more wedding sets and much more!” she said.

Item: Wine and Cheese Party Invites

Check out these cute wine and cheese party invites I found on Etsy.com!

“There are so many things to celebrate in life — why not do it with wine & cheese?” the Etsy seller writes in the item description  “Whether you’re celebrating a recent engagement, hosting a holiday event for your business, or just getting together with the girls, this classic pairing adds elegance to any party. These invites are printed on recycled kraft stock and include free personalization with a vintage typewriter font and your choice of custom color. Perfect for rehearsal dinners, dinner parties, and any culinary-slash-vino experience!”

The Etsy listing is for 12 postcard invites, and it’s selling for $13.50.

“We’ll personalize your event info with a fun vintage typewriter font — it’ll look like you typed each one out on your vintage Underwood,” the seller says.

My favorite card in this shop is this fun $5.00 Valentine’s Day card.

It’s a 5 inches by 7 inches white card with bold red letters.

Item: Peeps Easter Cards

Love Christa Penner’s awesome paper products selling at her Etsy shop called CDesignIllustration.  This shop has a great selection of paper goods, but I especially like this cute set of four Easter cards.

In addition to cards, you can also order customized wedding invitations and stationery.

“I work from home creating stationary to sell in my shop, for people’s weddings and many other occasions,” Christa told me in her submission to Etsy Item of the Day. “I also do website design, logo design – the works, but my passion is handcrafted stationary with a retro feel. I love creating things and I also love admiring the creations of others.”

When Christa isn’t working on filling order for her Etsy shop, she told me she likes to go to the thrift store, read, cook, and fix up her house.

I asked Christa where she likes to shop on Etsy.com and she told me about HeroDesigns.

“I love Hero Designs,” she said. “For me they are a local shop so I first discovered them at their storefront locally. I just love their posters, they are fresh and always so unique. They are hand screen printed and they have a beautiful technique.”

Christa’s advice to other Etsy sellers is simple, but really important:

“Network with other users as much as possible! And make sure your photos are well set up and focused,” she told me.
