Dachshund with Red Hearts Onesie

Item: Valentine’s Day Onesie
Seller: squarepaisleydesign

Valentines day baby onesie 300x200 Dachshund with Red Hearts Onesie

One of my most popular features on Etsy Item of the Day is this Dachshund print. Dachshunds always remind me of a boss I had awhile back, and there seem to be many people who connect with this breed of dog!

I came across this darling baby onesie that appeals to the dog lovers and the Valentine’s Day gift buyers alike. Isn’t it so cute??

This Etsy seller (squarepaisleydesign) can make this onesie in with a long or short sleeve version, and is selling it for a cool $13.00. Great price for a cute and unique gift!

Eco-Fabulous Fortune Cookie Crayons

FORTUNE COOKIE CRAYONS 300x300 Eco Fabulous Fortune Cookie Crayons

Do you ever feel like you’ve been really, really lucky? The feeling of things falling together is priceless, especially after a lot of hard work.

I’m usually one to say that it’s the work that made it all happen, but this time I really do think there is a little luck thrown in.

The start-up company I started with 2 business partners back in mid-2010 (launched in January 2011) is having a great month so far, and we are expecting huge success from January 18 onward.

I’m not an Etsy seller, but I would guess each of the sellers experience this kind of rush of excitement when their shop gets a few sales under its belt.  It’s thrilling and rewarding to know that people are responding to the product you put out into the world – and I would bet it’s even more exciting when you have put a lot on the line to make it happen.

When sacrifice (and a lack of steady paychecks from “the man”) end up turning into something incredible, it’s pretty darn cool!

I thought I would feature these cool fortune cookie crayons today from an Etsy shop called ivylanedesigns in honor of luck.  Be sure to check out these eco-friendly creations by clicking the shop name (ivylanedesigns) at the top of this feature!

Alphabet Blocks

Item: Alphabet Blocks
Seller:  JuliaStaite

Alphabet blocks 225x300 Alphabet Blocks

If you are shopping for kids or babies, Etsy is a great place to start.  You can browse all my favorite Etsy shops for children, and I’m glad to be adding this Etsy shop to the list today!

I first heard about this Etsy seller via an Etsy shop submission to my site.  Julia Staite, the seller behind the cute shop, is a freelance illustrator living in London with her husband and 2 year old daughter.

I have been freelancing for years but recently opened my etsy shop to sell prints of my work and handmade illustrated items,” she told me.

When she’s not making items for her Etsy shop, Julia told me she is still drawn to crafting.

Well, most of my hobbies are crafty too!” she said.  ”I love knitting and sewing but also having fun with my daughter at the park is top of my list.

I asked Julia where she likes to shop on Etsy.com and she told me she recently discovered a shop called Ninainvorm.

I absolutely love her use of colour. So bright and happy!” Julia said.

Julia’s advice to other Etsy sellers is to keep at it!  ”Promote like crazy and get involved in the community,” she suggests.

So what’s next for Julia’s shop on Etsy.com?

I want to keep adding to my product range and build up my name and hopefully a good reputation for providing lovingly made unique items,” she said.

You can connect with Julia on her website, blog, and Facebook page!
