Item: Valentine’s Day Damask Printables

I am loving these Valentine’s Day printables from Etsy seller Wendy Oliver! I first heard about Wendy’s shop via my Etsy Item of the Day shop submission page, and fell in love.  She has some fabulous Valentine’s Day designs listed!

“I have always been interested in design – ever since I can remember!” Wendy told me. “I followed my design interest to college and graduated with a Bachelors in Interior Design.”

“I worked in the retail design field for awhile then eventually put away my architectural scale to pursue other areas of study – and eventually to be a mom…the most important job yet!” she continued.  ”We have a little one and another on the way. As a stay at home mom I have spent the past few years working on various graphics projects for friends, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, and my church.”

“And, following a recent move half way across the country to Colorado,” Wendy told me. “I suddenly had a lot of spare time on my hands as my daughter had more time commitments and I had fewer. I decided it was a great time to open an Etsy store. I still love to view quality interior design and many of my creations are inspired by interior spaces…or my favorite magazine: Coastal Living.”

When she’s not working on great designs for her Etsy.com shop, Wendy told me she likes to read, garden, hike and take care of her two little girls.

I always ask Etsy sellers where they like to shop when they are browsing Etsy.com.  Wendy tole me about a shop called AndersRuff.

“I am always so inspired by their success,” she said.  ”They have had much success in the children’s party graphic area. I have focused my shop more on baby showers – many with nautical themes so as to not be in direct competition with Anders Ruff.”

Item: Valentine’s Day Card

Are there Etsy shops that you always check up on to see what’s been freshly listed?  I’m sure I’m not alone in this, and there are several shops that make me very excited!

One of them is FionaDesigns.  This Etsy seller makes absolutely delightful paper goods that she has designed and created in Connecticut, USA.

There are so many great cards in this shop year-round, and one of my favorite things about this shop is the price.  Many of the cards are under $4.00, which is what I typically pay at the grocery store.  But these are handmade, one-of-a-kind (to the receiver at least), and really beautiful!

Here are some lovely cards I spotted in this shop today for Valentine’s Day:

My favorite one is the card featured at the very top of this feature.  How pretty, chic and fun, right!?

Item: Purple Valentine’s Heart

I saw that SoFino, a darling Etsy shop with tons of cute felt creations, was featured on the Etsy.com home page today!

This seller’s felt hearts for Valentine’s Day made me smile, so I thought I’d share this shop with you all too!

When the team at Etsy.com asked this seller about herself, here’s what she said:

“My name is Zoe Djukic and I live in Charlotte, North Carolina with my husband, Nick, and two children, Trifun and Sofia,” Zoe said.  ”I was born in Belgrade, Serbia and lived there until I received my degree in Pedagogy (child education) at the Philosophy College of Belgrade University. After graduation Nick and I decided to begin our new life together in the U.S., where he is from.”

“It’s here that I had my first experience with felting, but I actually learned from a friend in Austria,” she continued.  ”I immediately fell in love, and this newfound madness led to experimenting with wool and all of its potential forms. My first shop on Etsy, 3FUN, was born shortly after this life-changing discovery, and the shop offered a wide variety of eclectic felted jewelry. The name 3FUN is a playful gesture to my son, Trifun. I felt a need to see what else could be done with wool, which led to the birth of SoFino. The name is another playful gesture, but to my daughter, Sofia.”

When asked, “What does handmade mean to you?” I loved Zoe’s answer:

“Handmade means uniqueness. It’s the result of talent, love and drive to create. Handmade objects bring faded memories to life — they are vibrant and have a history and a unique story to tell,” she said.

Item: Holiday Christmas Wreath

I saw this wreath on the home page of Etsy.com this morning and it made me smile!  Can you get any more excited for the holidays than you are after seeing this cute red and white wreath?

This wreath is selling for $17.50 at an Etsy shop called TheLandofCraft.  This is such a perfect gift for your holiday party hostess, neighbor, friend, and more.  Everyone could use a bit of fun sparkle, right?

The wreath is made with red and silver/white sparkle pom poms, which are secured to a ribbon wrapped styrofoam base. It hangs with a red ribbon.

If you are looking for ornaments, this Etsy shop has some really cool beaded ones.
