Loving these darling bottle cap magnets!

The Etsy seller who created these cute magnets is named Reagan Branham, and I learned about her shop via my Etsy Item of the Day shop submission page. (Don’t forget to submit your Etsy shop here!)

“I work in marketing at an architecture firm full time, as well as go to school part time for interior design,” Reagan told me. “Between Etsy, work and school, I am very busy!”

When she’s not busy working on items for her shop, Reagan told me she stays very busy.

“I am the proud owner of two cats – Raisin and Shorty. And I just finished my first half-marathon!” she said. “I am also completely addicted to traveling.”

Wow, so cool that you completed your first half-marathon, Reagan! I am training for my first 5K in April, and my goal is to move to a half-marathon soon.

When I asked Reagan where she likes to browse on Etsy.com, she told me about two shops that are run by two of her good friends:

“liveandkern is the social media editor at a newspaper, and she sells social media ornaments made of felt. They are so cute!” she told me. “cleverhandspress is a shop owned by two sisters who sell custom correspondence. One of them does all the design, and the other does the marketing and business stuff.”

Reagan’s advice to sellers is great:

“Keep at it! It took me months before I got a sale, but that first sale is a great feeling!” she said. “It’s very rewarding to know you’re making something that others value. Believe in yourself, make a good product, and don’t give up.”

Surprisingly, I have yet to go to a get-together with fun mustaches, but I’ve wanted to be part of the trend lately. I think I may need to organize my own!

If you’re uber-busy like me (who isn’t?!) it may be best to just look to Etsy for the fun mustache decor rather than attempt a DIY.

Isn’t this child’s apron by Etsy seller Julie Burns darling?

“I love to sew. I am not afraid to sew most anything,” Julie told me in her shop submission to my site. “I love making purses, scarves, pillows and other home accessories along with skirts and dresses for my daughter. I am married 5 years and have a daughter age 5 and a son age 3, they are my world. I am a stay at home mom just trying to get my online business going until I can get enough money saved up to have an actual store front. I love living each day to the fullest with a great big smile.”

Julie told me that when she’s not working on items for her Etsy shop, she enjoys going for drives with the family through the smoky mountains and taking lots of pictures.  ”Or I am in a fabric store (aka heaven),” she adds.

I always like to ask sellers where they like to shop on Etsy.com.

“The shops I love are RedbirdJewellery, AllSoCute, and shawnaerback,” Julie told me. “I love the photos and simplicity of her designs of redbirdjewellery. I can’t enough enough of the little creatures of Allsocute and its something about the dreamlike paintings of Shawn’s store that inspire me. Each of these artists inspire me in their own unique way. I feel motivated to continue in my craft whenever I visit their store.”

Julie shared some advice to other sellers with me:

“Don’t give up. Try to become friends with other sellers on Etsy because they are what keeps you motivated and inspire you. Also, join Etsy Success Team and constantly check out the Etsy blogs to get selling pointers,” she suggests.
