I have been waiting for this week for about a month now. Later this week I have booked a…
SPA DAY!
Ok, fine… so it’s more like a spa hour or two, but here’s the thing – I need it.
Right after the Sundance 2010 Film Festival ended in January, and thus my long hours during it ended, I vowed to book a spa day for myself. Well… one thing after the next happened. Pretty soon I found myself in mid February, completely spa-less.
So I called up the salon where I get my hair done and booked both a cut and a facial. It was one of those times where you just have to blurt it out and regret it later.
“I need to book a cut,” I said calmly. I added “AND A FACIAL!” which came out a bit over enthusiastically. There was no turning back.
Then came the guilt.
I already needed the cut, right? I mean, I’ve stretched it beyond my normal 6-8 weeks (more like 10!) so I beyond deserve that. No regrets on booking the cut.
And as far as the facial goes, I could have gone totally nuts and booked a massage and a facial. And I didn’t. Man, do I have massive restraint or what? I deserve a pat on the back, right? Not a massage on the back, just a little pat. Ahem. Right!
I deserve this. Big time. Guilt g-o-n-e.
So now that I’ve had this spa day booked for a couple weeks, it’s been amazing how much I’ve looked forward to it. It seriously gets me though the day people. Anyway, the time has come - it’s this week!
So in honor of (hopefully) one of the most relaxing days hours I’ve had in a minute, I wanted to post a fabulous Etsy favorite I came across from Etsy’s ClearBlueAroma shop.
I am loving this exfoliating mask. The seller (ClearBlueAroma) says this exfoliating mask will brighten even the dullest complexion leaving you to feel as if you have wiped away years. You’ll be delighted with the face fresh you see in the mirror after just the first use. I could get behind that!
This mask does a number of things including:
• increases circulation
• absorbs oils and toxins from the skin
• stimulates and rejuvenates
• tightens pores
• clears acne
• tones and tightens
• acts as a nonabrasive exfoliant
• hydrates & nourishes
• soothes and calms inflammation
• softens the skin
• controls shine
I took the TMI liberty and thought I’d highlight the things that I personally need for my skin. You know, prepping for the questions the master esthetician will ask, right? Anyway, looks like this mask would rock my world.
The seller (ClearBlueAroma) says there are several key ingredients that on their own would work wonders on your skin, but together provide the astonishing effects you will see with this mask. One of the key ingredients of the exfoliating mask is a combination of powdered milks. Milk contains lactic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid that dissolves the “glue” that holds your dead skin cells to your body. Therefore, when you rinse the mask off, use a soft cloth to gently wipe away that layer of dead skin cells that give a dull appearance and you will reveal fresh, glowing skin.
Plus, there is a kickass (I said it) mix of essential oils used in this product including Frankincense essential oil and Lavender essential oil. I love a yummy smelling beauty mask!!
Here is the thing I like most about this Etsy shop. This seller know her stuff. I wish I could include the entire Etsy item description for this product in this feature so you could see all the awesome things this seller knows about beauty. We’re talking an explanation of what exfoliation is, a list of clays in this product and what they do, etc.
Yes, I would trust this seller with my face.
Be sure to peep this seller at the links below:
As always, click on the shop name (ClearBlueAroma) at the top of this feature to be taken right to the Etsy shop
Wish me a happy spa day ya’ll!
