Meet Etsy seller Jemima Biscombe, the crafter behind the shop JEMIMAJACKMAN.  I heard about Jemima via an Etsy Item of the Day shop submission and loved her cute head scarves.

“My name is Jemima, I currently live in New York City. I’ve been designing for the past few years now,” Jemima told me. “My inspiration comes from the beach and island lifestyle, which have allowed me to manipulate the use of colours in my designs. I love expressing myself by adding a pop of colour to complete a look. These hair scarves are bright and colourful, they add glamour, femininity and most importantly comes in handy for bad hair days. Paired with sunglasses and a great lip colour these beauties are the perfect hair accessories during the summer and winter months. Whether you’re going to the beach, out for a stroll or just looking for something different, they’re fashionably fun to wear.”

“When I’m not designing I enjoy reading fashion magazines to see what’s going on with the rest of the world and watching movies that are inspiring to my craft,” she said.

I asked Jemima where she likes to shop on Etsy and she told me about two great shops:

“I love tattosocks and ruffeoheartslilsnoty on ETSY, overall their photos are amazing,” she said.

Jemima’s advice to other Etsy seller sellers is to create a quality product, take great pictures and market your shop at events whenever possible to create awareness to your products.

So what’s next for Jemima and her Etsy shop?

“Looking forward to adding bikini’s and tunics to the existing collection of hair scarves and reversible headbands,” she said.
