Eco-friendly T-shirt Bags
Item: Six Pack Paper or Plastic No Thank You
Seller: zJayne
My friend Ashley came into the office yesterday with a really cute vintage t-shirt that was made into a bag. I asked her where she got it and, no surprise, she got it from Etsy! I had to write about it for today’s post!
The seller of these cute bags (zJayne) has a some stunning info about the effects of using plastic bags at the grocery store (or anywhere else). “It takes as much petroleum to make 14 plastic bags as it does to drive a car one mile.” WOW!
The listing is for a six of these t-shirt bags. The buyer can choose from tons of different t-shirts.
There are a few things I really love about this item:
1. Space. I always forget touse my current eco-friendly bags because they don’t fit in my purse (and I have big purses!) I like that this item can fit easily into your purse by rolling it up.
2. Am I really helping the effort? My current eco-friendly bags really just feel like another purchase of a new item. I like how this item is re-using vintage t-shirts. It truly is recycling vs. purchasing another new item.
Here’s a cool idea the seller talked about in the listing – Use these cute bags for Christmas presents you are giving out rather than heading to the store and buying a paper gift bag! Good idea zJayne!
