Aren’t these handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces of art so cool?  I love Etsy art!

Here’s another photo of this piece by Etsy seller papersquid:

This $15.00 piece is from the seller’s (papersquid) series of linocut prints. The piece is hand-printed and hand-painted.

I love when Etsy sellers talk about how they made the item in the Etsy item description.  This seller says she began with a linoleum block print that she carved with these abstract organic shapes.  Then, she inked her linoleum block, placed the paper on top, and made the print.  I have featured this type of Etsy art before, and I think it’s really cool!

This piece comes with a mat frame, and the piece itself is 3.5 inches by 5.5 inches (with a 8 inch by 10 inch mat frame).

Another cool thing about this Etsy.com seller (papersquid) is her use of resealable clear cellophane sleeve in her packaging.  She writes in her item description that cellophane is 100% biodegradable and is eco-friendly because it is a cellulose product derived from wood.  It causes nearly zero environmental impact. “Cellophane” is made from cottonwood trees purposely grown, farmed and harvested for “Cellophane” production.  Love that this seller takes the time to do some eco-conscious research!

I glance at this post yesterday, and I’m glad I came back and actually read it.

I didn’t know that cellophane is biodegradable!

Papersquid is not only talanted, but smart, too. ;)
