I myself have recently started to do more mixed media art. It's so free, so forgiving, so liberating. Absolutley no boundaries to any piece that one decides to dream and create. I have been trying to achieve the look you have created as the background, may I please enquire as to what technique you used to achieve the crackled effect? I plan on working with different kinds of crackle paints next but have so far found it a bit difficult to keep some smoother images, (such as the bird in your painting) all the while trying to keep the balance of the crackle effect to the rest of the painting. I know art is alot of trial and error but I figured with such beauty in this painting you have done, it wouldn't hurt to get some advice from such a talented artist. A reply to my qestion would be much appreciated. Thank you and nice work!
