I found a really cool thing on Etsy.com today via seller FoxyGKnits. This seller has a listing for these scarves and has this in the description:
“I am offering this pink scarf as a pay it forward (PIF) item for just $5.00 each plus shipping.”
So then, I thought, “HUH? PIF?” Read on…
“All I ask from you is that you do something nice for someone else, or if you have an Etsy store, please list a PIF item now for someone else.”
How sweet is that??!!
Considering scarves in the seller’s (FoxyGKnits) spring and summer line are upwards of $65.00, $5.00 is a great offer to just “pay it forward.”

Excellent feature on FoxyG and on the PIF concept. FoxyG pays it forward every day. She is a talented artist who shares her talents and hard work with others selflessly. She and another Etsian, Miss Moose Designs, are currently each knitting a scarf based on the number of fans that follow them on Facebook. For each new fan, 2 handmade scarves will be donated to a shelter for homeless children. That’s a LOT of knitting!
