So… this necklace is totally for nerds.

Now, before I get complaints about insulting this handmade seller, I have a confession.  I am a nerd.  Big time.

I saw this necklace selling on Etsy.com for $34.00 and loved the price.  Plus, I can tell you that this seller is a real gem.  We have talked on Twitter and Etsy sellers should try to find the best, most honest sellers around when shopping on the site – here’s one!

Here’s how the seller (MithrilDreams) made this item:

1.  She purchased the pendant in raw brass. Yup, brass.

2.  Then, she painted a coat of fine silver and fired it.

3.  Next, she used pmc (which is fine silver) for the land topography.

4.  Finally, she attached the pendant to a 17 inch sterling silver chain and used a round spring clasp to close it.

Love to read about how sellers make their crafts!  So awesome!
