In honor of the Summer Olympics held in London which began Friday, July 27, 2012, and just ended Sunday, August 12, 2012, I wanted to share this photo of London I found on Etsy.
There were tons of great moments, but here are three favorites I wanted to share with all of you:
[VIDEO] The day before his 22nd birthday, Usain Bolt added a second Beijing gold in the 200 meters, breaking Michael Johnson’s 12-year-old world record with a time of 19.30. Bolt later capped his unforgettable Games with another world record and gold medal in the 4×100 relay.
[VIDEO] In the final gymnastics event of the 2012 London Olympics, American Aly Raisman wins the gold medal on the floor routine. Earlier in the day, Raisman also won the bronze medal on beam. Aly Raisman ended up being Team USA’s most decorated gymnast at the games thanks to her team gold, individual gold for floor exercises and white-knuckled bronze for the balance beam.
[VIDEO] THAT GOAL! First-time Olympian Alex Morgan scored the game-winning goal in extra time of overtime to lift the U.S. women’s soccer into the game medal match against Japan.
What were your favorite moments of the games?
