Item:  Woot Owl – Square Owl Dish

As some of the long-time Etsy Item of the Day readers know, I am an alumna member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, a sorority.  The organization has a few symbols – one of which is the owl.  During my time at the University of Utah, I was always on the look out for anything owl-themed.  So… when I see things like remind me of “Kappa” on Etsy.com, even though I’m not an active member of the chapter, I take notice.

This little 3 inch square owl dish is too cute! The seller (SayYourPiece) suggests using it to hold loose change or jewelry.  I know about two dozen Kappa Kappa Gamma ladies that would love the dish to have in their room at the sorority house!

Because a lot of Kappas give gifts “just because”, I like that this Etsy item is only $8.00.  I think this would be great to give a girl who just had a great test score or was just dealt the blow of a break-up.  Sigh, the drama of college, right?

This Etsy shop has tons of other great items and the seller seems super laid-back (which I love!)  She offers custom color and personalization requests.  Nothing better than that!  Gotta love the great sellers on Etsy.

Wish I would have been an Etsy fan back then, rather than heading over to the craft store to make my own KKG gifts when I needed them!
