Meet the talented Karen Register, the crafter behind CammieBaby on Etsy.com.

I’ve seen Karen around on Twitter (follow her @Cammie_Baby) so I was really excited that she decided to share more about herself and her craft on my Etsy Item of the Day shop submission page.

“I am a 20 year military wife and mother of 3. I love to create things and I love to do it all; paint, sew, stained glass, woodworking, etc,” Karen said. “I currently work full time but hopefully will be one of Etsy’s “Quit your day job” folks sometime this year. My passion is giving so Cammie Baby will donate $1 to charity for each sale.”

When she’s not working on darling handmade baby items, Karen told me she enjoys reading, computer games, watching movies, and hanging out with her husband.

Karen’s advice to fellow Etsy sellers is to carefully read all of the Etsy rules and regulations.  ”Browse the forums for a lot of useful information. Research what you consider to be your niche,” she added.

So what’s coming up next for Karen’s Etsy shop?

“The next step for Cammie Baby is to build up my inventory. I am also working on getting a website. I want to create a base of followers on Twitter and Facebook in hopes of spreading the word about Cammie Baby, The Fisher House, and The Steve Harvey Foundation,” she said.
