Rose Garden Ring

Item: Ring Rose Garden
Seller: TwoCheekyMonkeys
The ring above is my favorite item in a shop called TwoCheekyMonkeys, run by Etsy crafter Deborah Davey. This month, I am featuring sellers who have brought their shops to Etsy Item of the Day via my shop submission page. So far, I have featured a few Etsy jewelry sellers, a photographer selling her macro wall print on Etsy, some delicious looking vegan whipped soap, and more!
TwoCheekyMonkeys on Etsy has a variety of great jewelry and even some vintage art prints. This Etsy shop is a Melbourne-based handmade jewellery, accessories and art label. It is owned by Deborah Davey, a retired research scientist, now jewellery designer and mother.
“Two Cheeky Monkeys specialises in jewellery and accessories inspired by the Victorian and vintage eras, many of which contain at least one vintage component,” Deborah told me in her shop submission. “I also create art prints featuring vintage illustrations printed onto vintage dictionary pages.”
When she is not busy crafting for her lovely Etsy shop, Deborah says she loves to play the piano, go jogging and go on picnics in picturesque spots. Hello envy – sounds awesome!
“I spend a lot of my non-crafting time being a mum to my cheeky monkeys, LOL,” she writes.
When asked where she likes to browse and shop on Etsy, Deborah said she has several Etsy stores she loves. “One of them is Percival Road Designs. I love Percival Road Designs because I just can’t get enough of stationery and paperwares, especially vintage-styled tags and supplies,” she says.
If you are new to Etsy, Deborah has some great advice to share. “Always look for advice from more experienced sellers either through their blogs or through the Etsy forums,” she told me. “And definitely keep working on improving product photography and coming up with new and innovative products. Both of these are things I need to keep working on constantly!”
I am really excited to hear that Deborah is looking at expanding her vintage art print range by offering different print sizes and styles.
“I am also working on increasing exposure of Two Cheeky Monkeys through both online and offline stockists,” she says. Congratulations Deborah – looking forward to hearing updates on this venture!
