Traci Porczynski, the Etsy seller behind SamplerVillage, shared a cool concept with me – people who love Etsy can get a taste of lots of different shops in one place.  Basically, SamplerVillage is a gathering of crafters and artisans who send in samples to be in the sample boxes sold by SamplerVillage.

SamplerVillage recently released their July boxes today!

These boxes are “Pamper Me/Pamper My Pet” themed and will be filled goodies mostly for you and some for your pet.  There are two kinds of boxes – the “Simply Samplicious Boxes” are $22.00 and the “Lavishly Samplicious Boxes” are $45.00

Traci founded SamplerVillage September 2009.  She has been the owner of Fun & Funky Retro Magnets for over 10 years, and has been a power seller on ebay for about 3 years.

“My magnets are also listed on Etsy and my website. My magnets were my main business focus until I started Sampler Village, now time is limited for the magnets,” Traci told me.  “I spend many hours each day scouring the web the for the finest handcrafted artisans out there. I want you to have the chance to try their products too! Much time is devoted to Sampler Village and I will do my very best to make us the best sampler box out there! I take great pride in packing the boxes so you have a wonderful experience when you receive your box in the mail.”

When she’s not working on SamplerVillage, Traci says her family is her focus.  “Both my boys (well all 3 boys including my hubby) ride motocross. That is a big deal in our house. So when time is not spent in Sampler Village we are riding and having fun together,” she said.

Traci tells other Etsy sellers that shop design is important.  “There are so many great graphic designers on etsy right now, you can get a great shop set up for very little money, it is worth it. Also take great product pictures, very important, you want to sell your products so make them look FANTASTIC!” she told me.

What’s next for SamplerVillage?  Traci tells me Sampler Village is growing in leaps and bounds!

“I have met so many great crafters and artisans. I just wish to continue offering them a great service to get their shops noticed,” Traci said.
