One thing about Etsy that always makes me smile is the love the sellers pour out during big disasters (think Haiti).

I was really excited to come across this Dream Big scrabble necklace – which is being sold to help raise money for the wildlife impacted by the BP oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.

In fact, 50% of the proceeds generated from this necklace will be donated to the National Wildlife Federation. The National Wildlife Federation is America’s largest conservation organization. They work with more than 4 million members, partners and supporters across the United States to protect and restore wildlife habitat, confront global warming and connect with nature.

“The helpless animals suffering daily from the BP oil spill can’t help themselves, but together, we can help save them,” the Etsy seller behind pinkflowercube says in the item description.

This tile (with ball and chain included) is selling for $10.00.  Great necklace, great cause.

Let’s all continue to advocate for those in the Gulf, even as time passes since the first drop of oil hit the ocean.
