So I have been hearing a lot about TOMS Shoes lately. For starters, this past August, CNN.com’s “Living” section featured TOMS in “Ten ideas to change the world.”

What’s so cool about TOMS Shoes? Well, the company donates a pair of shoes to a needy child for every pair that is purchased. In fact, the company donated its 1 millionth pair of shoes in September! Isn’t that great!?

I was stoked to find a few sellers on Etsy.com that are turning TOMS Shoes into awesome hand-painted pieces. Check out this pair from solereflections:

This Etsy shop creates custom, hand-painted designs on canvas shoes. Basically, you the seller your shoes, along with your ideas or what type of design you like. Then, the seller sketches out your ideas, sends you the rough draft and then gets to work on your custom shoes! You end up with one of a kind, unique-to-you wearable works of art.

Love this idea, and really love TOMS Shoes!
